Cheapest Lodge Pro-Logic Pre-Seasoned Cast Iron 12-Inch Square Grill Pan

The pan is a good size for use on a single burner, has a fairly close spacing between the raised grill bars. It is surprisingly heavy which makes it retain heat very well. Will definitely produce a decent amount of smoke so beware if you have a small apartment. It is a royal pain to clean, but I would imagine that any other grill pan with the same spacing between grill bars would be as well. The bad thing about grill pans in general is that a lot burning occurs at the on the bottom of the pan in between grill bars. A regular grill is good because when stuff drips off of what your cooking, it simply goes down to the charcoal, but with the grill pan it burns up a few millimeters below your food which can give it a bad taste. It will certainly give you very nice looking grill marks on your food, but keep in mind that food takes longer to cook because the food is raised off of the cooking surface, and you don't have that flame that you would on a real grill to deliver a high level of heat. On the overall I got exactly what I expected from the product even though after purchasing I decided I don't really like grill pans in general.
